Pressrelease – New Meeting in Romania

The second partner meeting under the Grundtvig project “Ageing well: don’t hesitate, be active” shall take place in Craiova, Romania. All partners shall meet in the period 17-20 April to discuss their local activities implemented so far: language classes, ICT classes, meetings for exchange of ideas between generations, etc. Senior participants shall present their personal interests and hobbies. The idea of the project is oriented exactly towards elderly people: to support their active and dignified life. The project activities are targeted at socializing them by meeting them with their EU peers in order to exchange ideas and experience.
The agenda of the meeting includes also some organizational questions related to the fact that the Italian partner UNITRE left the partnership as early as November 2012. The meeting envisaged for Italy has to be now hosted by one of the two partners: Gabrovo, Bulgaria or Pardubice, Czech Republic. All partners have to decide how to implement the project successfully, even without the Italian organization.
So far the project activities included a kick-off meeting in Poland, development of a detailed work plan, creation of a project logo and web-site, as well as organization of some activities for seniors on local level. The meeting in Craiova shall give all partners the chance to present their local achievements. The Romanian hosts have also prepared a cultural tour around Craiova and visit to a traditional Romanian restaurant. More than 20 people are expected to come from Greece, Bulgaria, Poland, France, Czech Republic and Lithuania.
